I am currently running a completely rewritten version of the AirAIM server on the server named "xray". If you find yourself logged into this server and experience anything out of the ordinary, please report it in this thread. I am currently only allowing a small number of users to log into this server but over time, I expect to increase the limit.

After the limited beta testing, I plan to replace all of the current servers with this version. Most of the benefits are subtle, but it should remedy the issues with massive numbers of users logging in bringing the server to a crawl and also increasing the capacity of the servers. Under the covers, it is now using a much more robust implementation of AIM protocol and should be less likely to "just not work" for some people. And many other good things..

Hey there Scott,

I've been testing this server for the past 24 hours, and I must say nothing wrong has occured. It's really safe, and fully functionable.

I've been signed in for over a day, and it's going fine.

All good for now,

I got this error message

Error: No server is available to service your account.

Sorry, your sign on has failed!
Please try again.

Does this mean that theres no more room on the server?

Not necessarily, but I too received this error when my screen name was on an original server (alfa.airaim.com, bravo.airaim.com and so on)

Try using a different screen name, or make sure to sign off the one you were attempting with.

Over the last several days I have been ironing out bugs in the software, and I don't have any estimate for when they will all be worked out. I'm am largely in a wait-and-see mode of debugging.. waiting for the planets to align and some unexpected combination of events to crash the server. However, bear in mind, you cannot specifically choose to use this server as I have been joining it with the stable servers grazing off a handful of users (which happens rather quickly). My apologies to the dozen-ish unlucky users, but my own usage is much less likely to reveal bugs than all of you.

For now, unless your final URL contains "xray.airaim.com", then you are no using it..

In theory, yes, that was what the message meant, but in practice, it is sometimes triggered by intermittent network failures. I would need more details about what URL you used to login (did you go specifically to xray.airaim.com?) and whether it happened several times after multiple tries? Otherwise, my advice is to just retry and hopefully it will just have been a temporary failure.

Scott, I also received this message, but as I stated previously, my account was initially signed into another server. So, therefore I'm not so sure, but he can go ahead and provide the URL to ensure that it wasn't network failure.

That was what I thought. Xray does not know how to login to the other servers, so when it is down "No server is available to service your account." If it is full, then it will still log you into xray because the current policy is to overload the servers rather than turn users away (the server limits are only conservative estimates).
