Since the new xray server has been introduced, the old ones are not working well.

When I go to http://airaim.com/ and log on my AIM account, it does not sign on.

About 1-2 minutes after clicking Log On, I get a message saying Sign On Failed.

I hope someone can solve my problem.

Thanks,

The old servers are working but not to there full potential. I to have noticed that when you try to login, it may take a few minutes, or a few tries.

Never the less, you just have to continuously try.

As of writing, the servers are teetering on capacity.. it's not really financially viable to add another server at the moment. My hope is that the rewrite will bring down the cost per user, however that software is not completely bug free (xray is offline for the moment). A solution for the interim may be to reduce how long AirAIM holds onto your account if you don't come back.. it's unclear to me how often is reasonable. I believe currently it holds onto it for 3 days, but it may be reasonable to say AirAIM will hold onto your account for 24 hours (as long as you logged in once a day, it would stay online "forever"). I'd be interested in hearing if that would not work for someone, and why.

Hey scott, i think 24 hours is a great idea, its a small "price" to pay for a free service, amirite?
If your too lazy to just sign on everyday then whats the use?
Btw i love the email feature it really helps me keep in touch with people in "far off lands" lol

As of writing, AirAIM is still waiting 3 days to decide you are not coming back. Some major steps in improving the memory usage of the current implementation has helped fix some of the woes that the 24hr idea was meant to address. Additionally, another server was brought online, which has brought us out of "overloaded" territory. If the the user base grows, more servers will be brought online to address the issue. The 3-day rule seems to be an alright compromise for the future.
